Frequently asked questions
Are the dyes non-toxic and permanent?
I use non-toxic water based dyes and paints. Each item is heat-set so that the dyes are permanent and the item can be hand washed or laundered. See "care instructions" on listing or FAQ's for more information.
Care instructions
If required, I recommend gentle hand washing for all silks and doilies as well as any other scarves. Durable cotton items such as handkerchiefs, napkins and kitchen towels can be machined laundered with like colors and dried on a moderate heat setting. Ironing can be done on recommended heat setting for that fabric.
